I’ve been wanting to buy a new clean foundation for some time now, but since mostly my options are all online, I have the hardest time being able to pick a color! Nice makeup is too expensive to get the color wrong and have it sit in a drawer and not get used. Having used the Narcissist sticks, maybe you can help me… would you say the little color swatches (the smushed foundation stick icons) on the W3LL People site or the descriptions (med golden, fair neutral, etc.) are more accurate? They don’t really seem to match up to me — for example, the “med neutral” looks like it’s SEVERAL shades darker than the “fair neutral,” and I can’t tell what to trust. It doesn’t help that I’d normally be in between those two. :-/

Yay! I’ve been waiting for a deal from them! I’m a NC15, or alima beige 1-2, vapour 110, so pretty neutral, fair skin – any idea of what color I may be?
I have a sample of Elitist 2011, a iridiscent palest pink (super illuminating as an all-over cover) which I LOVE and would like to order full-size. I don’t see this option on the webstie, however. W3ll People people, are you there? can you advise?
Slightly off topic… A company featured in a previous Friday deal is Futurenatural. I stupidly forgot the nightmare I had in getting my order last time, and I’ve ordered from them again recently. No sign of my order or the e-mail they promise I will receive when my order ships (within 24 – 48 hours of placing my order – HA!) and they will not respond to my e-mails, nor does anyone answer the phone, which goes straight to voicemail where I’m told I can’t leave a message because the mailbox is full.
Does ANYONE have any idea how I can track this order or get my money back? Because funnily enough, the one area where they have been super efficient is when they charged me immediately for the pleasure of, um, getting nothing in return.
@Naomi – I had similiar problems with Futurenaturals and I just kept spamming them with emails. My first order took 3 weeks to show up! It’s such a shame because they have a great selection but their customer service is terrible. I did get my stuff in the end and an apology though, so good luck!
The Narcissist has really awesome coverage – I just re-discovered it as a great concealer. I found the powder foundaiton to be too drying for me, but I do realy like the Narcissist. I am pretty pale – Vapour 110, Alima Neutral 3 – the Narcissist 1 works well for me (esp. because it’s the winter, so I’m as pale as I get). The product size is not very big, but it lasts a long time because you don’t need much at all, even for full coverage. I also really like Nudist 1 – it’s not incredibly moisturizing, but the color is fantastic.

I’m definitely interested in trying the Narcissist foundation, but like Lydia, am having a hard time choosing a color. I’m usually a Medium Beige or Neutral (I used to wear BareMinerals mineral foundation and used their “Medium”), so I’m wondering if Narcissist 3 would be good – the Narcissist 4 looks so much darker than the 3 that I’m thinking it would be better but it’s so hard to tell on the screen! I wish there was a way to get a little sample of the color…or if they compared the color to celebrities like they do on the RMS site, so we can get an idea of who can wear a certain shade of foundation?

Too bad the Capitalist cream liner in black is out of stock – I have been tempted to try this brand for a while. I was interested in brushes too but it looks like many are animal hair. Maybe try a Universalist?? I’m a super pale olive (Olive 1 in Alima foundation). Any suggestions for lip or all-over colors to try?

Besides the Narcissist (sounds like I am a 2), what about the altruist mineral foundation? What would a narcissist 2 (or MAC NC15, Alima Beige 1-2, vapour 110) be? For fair skin, they only have pink or yellow, no neutral :o(

W3ll People are super helpful via e-mail – based on that advice and the suggestion here in the comments I’m going for Universalist 4 and Nudist 7. Also, I was able to get fast and clear info about which products have carmine (I avoid as a vegan issue), and found out the whole line is gluten free. I’m glad this deal came up, I may never have gotten around to trying this brand otherwise. Can’t wait to try my new products!
Ok, guys, VERY sad news :( We are officially out of Universalist 7! For those of you who love a blushed cheek, may I suggest, Universalist #1 (looks like Orgasm blush from NARS- pale pink with a gold twinkle), or Universalist #5. This looks brown on the website, but it is actually a crimsoned cherry. It delivers the best cheeky flush, and cherry stained lips. It’s my personal fav!
I emailed W3LL with several pictures and described my skin. I’m fairly pale with very pink undertones. I got advised to go for Narcissist in #2 and Realist X powder-colorless setting powder. Also we agreed upon Universalist 2 for highlighting. Just placed my order.. it was orig $95, and came down to $76 after coupon – which meant i got free shipping even to Canada.
A bit more than I usually spend on 3 pieces of makeup. Like double. But I hope it is worth it!
Seriously bummed at how pink/orange the two lightest narcissist shades seem to be….wasn’t that true to the website photos. I love how the stuff wears so I may resign myself to a ton of blending, but fellow pale chicks, get samples first!!!
A quick question for those commenters who contacted w3ll people with questions. How long did it take to hear back? I emailed them on 20th Nov and have not heard back from them. I’m in Australia so it’s not practical for me to call. I really want to place my order but need clarification on some of the narcissist colours.
I notice in the list of ingredients for the Product called Narcissist there is titanium dioxide, correct me if I am wrong but last time I checked this ingredient was not organic nor well for people, planet or has nothing to do with loving her. Hate to sound skeptical and sarrcastic but how is this company claiming to be what they are ever so cleaverly marketing?????

I just ordered! I got the Narcissist in 3, and a ton of samples to play around with … I’m usually pretty timid when it comes to makeup so I need to try on bold eyeshadows and the like in my own bathroom before committing to a full-size purchase! Thank you so so much NMDL for hooking us up again!
