Happy Friday Deal from Essence of Vali, Luxury Aromatherapy!
We soooo love aromatherapy. Not least of all because smell can affect how we think, feel and perceive—which ultimately affects how we look. What we don’t love? Synthetic fragrance filled with the nasty ingredients that turn male frogs into, well, not male frogs. When we were first researching the book, we had the good fortune of discovering Essence of Vali. We both fell for it hard, and it changed Siobhan’s bedtime ritual for life when she discovered that sleep remedies can actually work. Not something we fully understood back then. We were so enamored with the brand that we included the line in the book and interviewed the owner Valerie Bennis in her charming West Village workshop.
Now, since those early days our aromatherapy education has grown, so we were so happy to have recently reconnected with Valerie, and thought it was high time to bring her to our newer readers too. Not only is this deal AMAZING, but you will also get samples of the Essence of Vali Perfume, which has become something of a green girl favorite, the sleep formula, and a bath and massage oil. So let’s get down to biz!
This deal is easy, breezy awsomeness: Buy ANYTHING, and get 20% off, with NO MINIMUMS. Ya heard us! Just enter promocode HEALTH at checkout and you’ll also receive your discount. As mentioned you’ll also get a premium sample kit of all her best products: a massage and bath oil, the perfume, the sleep kit. (And yes! They ship to Canada!)
Don’t you wish all our deals were like this?! OK, now go order some sleep remedy and enjoy that extra hour this weekend (fall back ya’ll). We know we will!

Ooohh! So excited about this one! The selection of natural perfume in stores in the Midwest is sad and I am hesitant to buy perfume online without trying it first. Can’t wait to try the sample kit! Thanks ladies!
Thank you–and thanks to Essence of Vali, too! What a great deal. I’ve been wanting to try a number of their products. I gave the Sleep formula as a gift to someone years ago, who loved it, but haven’t explored further for myself. This is a perfect excuse. :)
I’ve tried the sleep mist and would say it works wonderfully! Now I’m perusing the site to see what else I might like to try and notice their blends have much of the same application as Lotus Wei’s (understandably) and it got me thinking….I don’t understand the difference between aromatherapy and flower essences. Care to enlighten?
Sorry to post this here, but I thought you might be interested int this:
Eau Naturel-a cadre of perfumers are bucking the trend of synthetics in their creations http://www.latimesmagazine.com/2011/11/image-uncommon-scents-eau-naturel.html
” . . . But as complaints grow that chemically laden products trigger headaches and allergies, natural perfumes are increasingly offering a holistic alternative to those sickened by aromachemicals (read: synthetics). “Botanical perfumes contain vital plant essences,” says Villa [perfumer]. “They aren’t chemical cocktails.””
And there is also this: Many hair straighteners have more formaldehyde than claimed, study says http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/alltherage/2011/11/brazilian-blowout-hair-straighteners-formaldehyde.html
” . . . The study tested four popular hair-straightening products for formaldehyde content and exposure during use, including the Brazilian Blowout Acai Professional Smoothing Solution, Global Keratin Juvexin Optimized Functional Keratin, Coppola Keratin Complex Blonde Formula and La-Brasiliana Escluso Keratin Treatment. Only La-Brasiliana tested formaldehyde-free. Though Global Keratin was the only tested product to mention the presence of formaldehyde on its label, the ChemRisk study found the product contained more than twice as much as claimed — 8.3%. Brazilian Blowout was labeled as formaldehyde-free but contained 11.5%; the Coppola product contained 3% formaldehyde, according to the study.”
My shopping cart runneth over… So many wonderful sounding products I’m keen to try. Even going to take a chance on the perfume, fingers crossed! And timing couldn’t be better for anyone wanting to get a few Christmas gifts… I know my mum would enjoy a few of the sprays!
I hope they ship to Canada! I might have to place an order this weekend.. I have a HORRIBLE time sleeping these days.
@ Avigayil, I’m in Yukon, Canada and they shipped to me so you should have no problem. I do recall calling in my order though, not ordering online.
I’ve been suffering from the worst insomnia! I hope this helps.
LOL! I’m not quite as far north as you Rebecca, … I reside in Edmonton, Alberta. :-) I am thinking of that Sleep Kit but am worried that it won’t work for me. However, I am glad to hear they ship to Canada.. might just have to go on a little faith.
When does the deal expire?
Hey Naomi!! Expired EOD Thursday! xo
