The Very Best Frizz Tamer I Have Ever Purchased

It’s a good hairdryer, y’all. Gotta have a decent hairdryer. It will save you time getting ready, money on products, and so many sad mornings. My last one lasted me eight good years before it began overheating and melting my hair (which would not have happened had I been paying attention, trust—this was a human error problem).

I replaced it with something someone gave me for free, and when it conked out after just a couple (very frizzy) months, I decided to repurchase the one I had before. It’s what I see at all the salons, and there’s a really simple good reason for that: It WORKS.

Well.

OK so I use the Twin Turbo, which is pictured above. There are lots of different kinds. The reason they work is that the air comes out super fast, not super hot, so it can dry your hair without much of a fuss, and no burns if you’re paying attention. You can get some versions for about $70-80 on Amazon, or for twice that at a retail location. It isn’t especially pretty, and it isn’t ceramic-fancy-Sephora-y, but it is the BOSS of my hair, and I love it.

Do you have a good hair dryer?

Yeah, the sun. I haven’t used a dryer in months, maybe a year.

I just figured this out and am beyond happy I did. I had an old Conair that was slow and resulted in a frizzy mess. I can’t completely air dry since I value sleep in the morning and my long hair can’t dry fully during my commute. I bought a Super Solano on Amazon (for 50% off) and LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

UM how is it I have just now come across your site? I’m a make-up artist and also run a blog on all-natural beauty products……going to buy your book IMMEDIATELY

Also a big fan of the “natural” dryer, i.e. the sun, but mostly because I’m too lazy to try & style my hair every day. I’ve always liked Parlux because they have good power without the burn factor and I can cut down on the time I need to spend on this tiresome task…

I have the T3 Featherweight and LOVE it! I have that kind of hair that needs the daily blow dry, wish it wasn’t so but oh well.

Totally unrelated, have you guys seen the new FDA sunscreen label requirements? I would say they are a step in the right direction.

  6. Rebecca says:

Bespoke labs T3, super fast and doesn’t damage my hair. Stupid-expensive, but since I use it a few times a week for several years it’s worth it.

  7. Lindsay says:

Is it loud? I’m in the market for a new one and so far leaning toward the T3 but this looks a lot like the one my stylist uses.

  8. Siobhan says:

@Lindsay It probably is! It was recommended to me by mine years ago, and then by my current one more recently. Not that loud!

Now that you have a good frizz-free blow-dryer, try the best frizz-free flat iron! U-Smooth irons get up to 450 degrees and have titanium coated plates for smooth passes through your hair to avoid frizz.

    Check it out! http://www.u-smooth.com/

Do you use this with a diffuser?

  11. Siobhan says:

I do–like one of those little angled guys, not the kind for curly hair, and it’s ah-mazing!
